Hartlaub´s gull/Larus hartlaubii
Hartlaub´s gull on stony ground
This beautiful gull species (Larus hartlaubii) breeds on Dyer Island together with the Swift tern (Sterna bergii). Hartlaub´s gulls can be found on the west coast of southern Africa. The food of the Hartlaub´s gulls it is caught by shock diving - consists mainly of invertebrates and small fish. |
