To be able to hunt large prey, the upper jaw of the Great White shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is movable and can be shifted forward. With the so-called revolver dentition, the sharp triangular teeth in the upper jaw and the needle-like teeth in the lower jaw are replaced as required, during their entire lives. (00010341)
