NEWSLETTER OCTOBER 2009
2010 Great White Shark Calendar
Among the thousands who visit my Web site every day, many have inquired in the past about a shark calendar, in particular about a Great White Shark calendar. Now the Great White Shark calendar has finally arrived!
The motifs for the calendar have been selected from among a multitude of photographs in my extensive archive.
My shark documentations are extraordinarily costly, and I don.t have any sponsors.
A certain amount from each calendar that.s been sold is utilized for investment in more documentations that are urgently needed. That.s the only way for me to carry on my work.
My best customers.PR and advertising agencies.have all migrated to the low price sector by now. A Microstock agency is currently plugging their pictures starting at 14 cents and up. I can.t compete with that nor do I want to.
But I.m actually way ahead of my time. Academic and scholarly institutions have been receiving the material that I compiled free of charge, on request, for years now. Only recently a huge selection was sent to the University of Michigan. Please click on http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/information/Carcharhinus_leucas.html
All bull shark pictures shown there, for instance, are mine.
Or at the Florida Museum of Natural History:
40 scholarly publications with my pictures have been published in the meantime.
Example: http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/sciencestories/2009/bull_shark.htm
My pictures can be found in similar institutions in Australia, South Africa, Canada and many other countries as well.
The Great White Shark calendar will also be presented at the Calendar Exhibition at the 2009 Frankfurt Book Fair in the lobby of hall 4.1. It contains top-quality photographs of the Great White Shark, which is on the red list of endangered species. The Great White Shark calendar is published in large format with an accompanying text. It.s of first-class quality, a truly unusual calendar.
An order form opens up, if required, when you click on the banner on my Web site www.jostimages.com.
Naturally, I would be very glad if as many people as possible ordered the calendar.
Every single order counts.
I would like to pay heed to European sharks, too; one-third of the species here are threatened by extinction.
A special thanks on my part goes to Mr. Holger Witt. He has maintained the Web site from its onset, continuously updating it. He always succeeded in resolving every problem that came up rapidly and efficiently until now, even the most difficult ones.
