Photos of the diving boat, Great-White-Shark-watching, White shark at the shark cage and shark cage- diving off Dyer island/South Africa
Gansbaai is located 170 kilometres south-east of Cape Town and can be reached by car in two hours. Approximately 30 minutes by boat from Gansbaai is Dyer Island,
supposedly the best place for watching Great White Sharks.
With a shark cage you can watch the animals and come into very close contact with them. During my stay in 2002, there were eight shark tour providers in Gansbaai.
But for years, there has been only one address that comes into consideration for me (and also for many film/TV professionals and underwater photographers from all over the world): Andre Hartman Website: http://www.andrehartman.com
In False Bay (near Cape Town), Chris Fallows and Rob Lawrence are a good choice for White Shark watching, website: http://www.ultimate-animals.com
or with Theuns Esterhuizen, website: http://www.sharkadventures.co.za
Everyone who wants to watch White Sharks will be certainly satisfied with the above-mentioned addresses. But a timely advance reservation is absolutely recommendable.
